Vidbir (Ukraine's Eurovision national selection)
Національний відбір / Vidbir · also Vidbir, Natsvidbir
Ukraine's televised selection of its Eurovision entry, run by the public broadcaster Suspilne; won in 2026 by Leléka with "Ridnym", who then finished 9th in the final in Vienna.
Vidbir (Natsvidbir) is Ukraine's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, in which the country is represented by the public broadcaster Suspilne. The 2026 final was held on 7 February with ten acts, decided 50/50 by jury and public vote, with the 2016 winner Jamala as music producer. Leléka won with "Ridnym" and in May finished 9th in the Vienna final with 221 points.
The rules bar performers who have performed in Russia, Crimea or other occupied territories after 15 March 2014. The singer Olya Polyakova has repeatedly asked for a change; in August 2026 Suspilne said the rule stands, adding that it received 392 applications in 2026 and that polling shows 56% of Ukrainians support the ban.
